We are facing trials and tribulations but we want to stress that we have Allah سبحانه و تعالى who will protect us. As they plan against the Muslims but Allah  سبحانه و تعالى  plans, and who can plan better than Allah سبحانه و تعالى. So brothers and sisters don’t despair in Allah سبحانه و تعالى  protection.

Police were called to Al Rahma Mosque In Mulgrave Street Toxteth on Sunday night. The ECHO reports that a man had left a “heavy” brown Suitcase or bag at the Masjid and told the witnesses he would come back to collect it.

The witnesses became suspicious when the man failed to return to collect the locked suitcase. The area was immediately evacuated and closed off. Police and a Special Army bomb disposal squad was called to the scene.

The two witnesses Hishan Umair Adnan Khalid, 20, ( may Allahسبحانه و تعالى protect and bless them)  describe the man as a tall white man that randomly came to drop the suitcase and said he’d be back later. Some of the bystanders tried to move it but it was heavy and locked this ignited them to call the police.

The police advised the surrounding people to leave their houses. Whoever planned it must have known the community, as the time the suspect dropped the suitcase usually most of the people would visit the Masjid. It is said that 150 -200 people are inside the Masjid around 9 pm.

Lorna Hughes, reporter for Liverpool Echo at the scene commented live on twitter while being at the scene.

“The police cordon on Mulgrave Street, Toxteth. We’re being told to stand back for our own safety.

“Looks like police forensics officers are about to go over to where the package was.

“Robot brought back by two bomb squad officers, looks like they’re about to put it back in the van.

“Looks like it’ll be the morning before we get more detail on the suspect package – police only telling me tests are being carried out.”

Ms Hughes last tweet to Dilly Hussain( may Allah swt bless him), Deputy Editor of 5 Pillarz said: “Before I sign off – another theory is that the bag contained items of clothing intended for a charity at the mosque.”

A spokesman for Merseyside Police said it was too early to establish what was in the suitcase and tests were being carried out.

He said: “We were called at 9pm to a report of a suspicious package at the mosque. A cordon was put in place and we called in the Army bomb disposal unit.”

Another local man said the mosque was covered by CCTV and the suspect had been recorded on the cameras.

By-standers were told to move further back as the bomb squad officers from the Royal Logistics Corps used their remote-controlled robot to carry out two controlled explosions 10 minutes apart at around 11.15pm and 11.25pm. The robot was sent back into the scene for a second examination.

Forensics officers later arrived at the scene to examine the remains of the suitcase. The cordon was lifted just after 1am.
